Fire at "it's a small world" — cause confirmed, Polynesian barriers installed.

A fire broke out at Magic Kingdom's beloved "it's a small world" attraction Wednesday, sending video circulating across social media the night before one of the park's busiest holidays of the year. Disney has since confirmed the cause of the fire, and WDW News Today reports that temporary barriers have been installed at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort in connection with the incident. The attraction's status for the 4th of July weekend had not been confirmed at press time — check the My Disney Experience app for current availability before visiting.

Soarin' Across America is live at Disneyland — a love letter to the USA at 250.

Disney debuted a brand-new limited-time Soarin' film at Disneyland Resort yesterday as part of the America 250th anniversary celebration. The new experience replaces the standard Soarin' Around the World film, taking guests on an aerial tour of iconic American landscapes. Chip and Co reports the film officially debuted July 2, with Theme Park Insider calling it "Disney's newest love letter to the United States." No WDW debut date has been announced — for now it's a California exclusive.
